Nationality

Indian nationals can apply. This includes Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) Cardholders under Section-7A of the Citizenship Act, 1955.

Qualifications, experience and other eligibility conditions are counted as on the last date for submitting the application form. Any relaxation in the percentage of marks follows Government of India rules, where applicable. For Madrasa-background applicants, a certificate equivalent to High School or Graduation is accepted if it comes from a Madaris/Institution recognised by the University, where applicable.

• Covered categories: blindness and low vision (VH); deaf and hard of hearing (HH); locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid-attack victims and muscular dystrophy (OH); autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness; and multiple disabilities from these categories, including deaf-blindness.
• The Disability Certificate must be issued by the Competent Authority on the proforma at Appendix-I. The proforma is available on amu.ac.in, amuregistrar.com and the AMU Careers Portal.
• The University’s Medical Board checks the disability claim of the selected applicant before the appointment letter is issued.

Application Fee

Each application form carries a non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 500/-. You can pay it only online through the Careers Portal. PwD candidates do not pay the fee if they upload an authentic Disability Certificate on the prescribed proforma with the form. If you apply for more than one post, you need a separate form for each serial number of the advertisement.

Selection Process

A Local Selection Committee (LSC) interviews eligible candidates in the Office of the Dean, Faculty of Medicine, AMU, Aligarh. You must report half an hour before the LSC starts.

• The University will not issue a separate notice or interview letter for this LSC.
• The University may limit the number of candidates called for interview based on its rules or criteria. It may also set up a committee to scrutinise and shortlist applications.
• Selected applicants may be examined by an Internal Medical Board.
• If a mistake in scrutiny or selection is found at any stage, even after an interview or appointment letter is issued, the University may modify, withdraw or cancel the selection process.

3. Pay the Rs. 500/- processing fee online, or upload the Disability Certificate if you are a PwD candidate.
4. After you submit the form, print the PDF of the application form on A-4 size paper.
5. Sign the printout and paste a recent front-facing photograph in the place marked for it.
