Who Can Apply

Essential Qualification

MA/M.Sc in Population Studies/Public health/Anthropology/Health Management/Development Studies/Developmental Economics/Psychology/Applied Psychology or related disciplines.

Pay and Tenure

• Pay: ₹26,000/- p.m. (consolidated pay), depending upon qualification.
• Tenure: The appointment is for three months from the date of joining. The offer may be extended later, depending on the availability of funds and the performance of the candidate.
• Nature of appointment: The post is filled purely on a contractual basis. The candidate will have no right to claim any type of permanent employment under ISI, Kolkata, or continuation of his/her services in any other project.
• Accommodation: The Institute does not have residential facilities for contractual staff.

2. Submit an application letter addressed to the Professor-in-charge, Social Sciences Division (SSD) of the Indian Statistical Institute.
3. Include this subject line in the application letter: “Application for Research Assistant at PSU, ISI, Kolkata”.
4. Submit softcopies of your current résumé (signed), in English, in ONE PDF file, with the details and documents listed below.
5. Give a working email id in the Google form. Shortlisted candidates will be told by email by 28 October 2026.

Selection and Interview
