National Investigation Agency (NIA) has published the recruitment notification E-95/002/Depu-Insp & SI(C.F.No.11528)/NIA/2026/12683 for 57 vacancies comprising Inspector (29 posts) and Sub-Inspector (28 posts) on a deputation basis for an ordinary period not exceeding three years. Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and 2 years experience, with a maximum age limit not exceeding 56 years as on the last date of receipt of applications, while departmental officers in the feeder category in the direct line of promotion and deputationists for promotion cannot apply. The pay is specified as Pay Matrix Level-7 for Inspector and Pay Matrix Level-6 for Sub-Inspector. Vacancy Details

Eligibility Criteria

• Inspector: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Holding analogous posts on regular basis in parent cadre or department OR with 5 years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in posts in Level-6 of pay matrix (Rs. 35,400-1,12,400) and 2 years’ experience in handling of cases of investigation of criminal cases, or intelligence work or operations or IT cases or Training in counter terrorism.
• Sub-Inspector: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university. Holding analogous posts on regular basis in parent cadre or department OR with 6 years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the Pay Level-5 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2800/- and 2 years’ experience in handling of cases of investigation of criminal cases, or intelligence work or operation or IT cases or Training in counter terrorism.
