National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), an Institute of National Importance under Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India, has invited applications for the position of Assistant Professor purely on Contract Basis initially for One Year and extendable as per requirement of the Institute. Qualification and Experience

असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर पद के लिए उम्मीदवार के पास संबंधित विषयों में मास्टर्स डिग्री (कम से कम 55% अंकों के साथ) और Ph.D. होना चाहिए। साथ ही NET/SLET/SET क्लियरेंस या UGC के नियमों के अनुसार Ph.D. अनिवार्य है। कम से कम 5 शोध पत्र UGC मानकों के अनुसार प्रकाशित होने चाहिए और माइक्रोबियल इंजीनियरिंग में अनुभव जरूरी है।

Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in any of the following specializations: Life Sciences and other allied Sciences, Food Science and Technology, Agricultural Process Engineering, Basic and Applied Sciences, Agriculture Science, Bio-process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Biotechnology, Microbiology.

उम्मीदवार को जीवन विज्ञान, खाद्य विज्ञान, कृषि इंजीनियरिंग, रसायन विज्ञान, माइक्रोबायोलॉजी आदि में मास्टर्स डिग्री होनी चाहिए।

In addition to the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR, ICMR, ICAR, DBT or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grands Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phill./ Ph.D. Degree) Regulations. 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be.

NET, SLET, SET या UGC/CSIR/ICMR/ICAR/DBT द्वारा मान्यता प्राप्त अन्य परीक्षाओं में से कोई एक क्लियर करना आवश्यक है, या UGC के नियमानुसार Ph.D. डिग्री होनी चाहिए।

An excellent academic record throughout, in addition to proven tract record of outstanding research ability in food sector, candidate should have published minimum 5 research papers in referred journals as per UGC guidelines with minimum cumulative impact factor of 10.

उम्मीदवार का अकादमिक रिकॉर्ड उत्कृष्ट होना चाहिए और खाद्य क्षेत्र में कम से कम 5 शोध पत्र UGC के मानकों के अनुसार प्रकाशित होने जरूरी हैं, जिनका कुल प्रभाव कारक कम से कम 10 होना चाहिए।

As per the UGC communication dated 21st September 2016, “if the M.Phil/Ph.D. degree is awarded by a Foreign University, the Indian Institution considering such a degree shall refer the issue to a Standing Committee constituted by the concerned institution for the purpose of determining the equivalence of the degree awarded by the foreign University”.

विदेशी विश्वविद्यालय से प्राप्त M.Phil/Ph.D. डिग्री की समानता की जांच के लिए संस्थान एक स्थायी समिति का गठन करेगा।

Pay and Terms

The total emoluments for the position are Rs. 70,900/- per month (All Inclusive). The Position is purely on Contract basis initially for One Year and extendable as per requirement of the Institute.

Important Instructions

• Incomplete application form without photograph, signatures and other documents shall be summarily rejected. NIFTEM shall not entertain any correspondence in case of incomplete information and evidences.
• No correspondence regarding consideration of late applications will be entertained.
• The prescribed essential qualifications are the minimum and the mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for interview. Where the number of applications received in response to an advertisement is large and it will not be convenient or possible to interview to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications / experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
• Short-listing of the candidates will be done largely on the pattern prescribed by UGC in Appendix-II Table-3(A) and the relevant experience will also be given due weightage.
• The eligibility of the candidates will be determined on the basis of qualifications / experience / publications etc. acquired by them up to the last date fixed for receipt of applications.
• NIFTEM reserves the right to Not to fill up any of the advertised position(s) / modify/ withdraw/ cancel any communication made to the candidate(s) at any stage in the process of selection in case any inadvertent mistake is detected even after issue of appointment letter.
• The last date for submission of applications in all respects shall be 12/11/2026.
• An undertaking to be given by the candidate mentioning that ‘the publications submitted by them are free from any plagiarism and if any plagiarism is found later, their candidature / selection shall stand rejected/ cancelled.
