Why Did SSC Release the GD Constable Revised Result 2026?

SSC received representations from candidates seeking clarification about the categories shown in the original PET/PST shortlists.

Some applicants had applied under SC, ST, OBC, EWS or Ex-Servicemen categories but qualified the Computer-Based Examination using the standards prescribed for Unreserved candidates.

As a result, these candidates appeared under the Unreserved category in the earlier lists.

To make the information clearer, SSC published detailed lists containing both the candidates’ original application categories and their categories considered for shortlisting.

What Has Changed in SSC GD Revised Merit List 2026?

SSC GD Constable Revised Merit List 2026 – Female Candidates

SSC has uploaded revised List-I for female candidates provisionally shortlisted to appear in PET/PST.

Candidates can check their roll numbers and compare the category under which they applied with the category considered for shortlisting.

The list is available through the official SSC results and notices section.

SSC GD Constable Revised Merit List 2026 – Male Candidates

SSC has also uploaded revised List-II for male candidates provisionally shortlisted for PET/PST against vacancies in forces other than SSF.

The list includes candidate identification details and category-related information.

Male candidates should use the revised list applicable to them and follow further PET/PST instructions issued by the examination authorities.

SSC GD Result 2026 – How Many Candidates Qualified for PET/PST?

According to the original SSC GD Constable Result 2026, the following candidate groups were reported as shortlisted for the physical examination stage.

These figures relate to the original 12 October result reporting and should not be interpreted as an additional group of candidates newly shortlisted on 23 October.

The official revised-result notice does not announce a new overall shortlisted-candidate total.
