The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Patna (Bihta Campus) has invited applications from Indian nationals for the project titled “SwarShiksha: Voice-Powered Learning in Indian Languages for Visually Impaired Children” approved by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) under the Advanced Research Grant (ARG) program. The positions are available for Project Assistant and Field Worker on a temporary basis for a duration of 3 years under Sanction Order No. ANRF/ARG/2025/005917/ENS dated 17-06-2026. About NIT Patna Recruitment 2026

National Institute of Technology Patna is an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. The recruitment is conducted by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the Bihta Campus for a sponsored research project under the ANRF Advanced Research Grant program. Selected candidates will work on voice-powered learning tools for visually impaired children and shall be encouraged to register for the Ph.D. program in the Electronics and Communication Department during the December 2026 session.

Vacancy Details

दो पदों के लिए कुल 2 रिक्तियां हैं, एक प्रोजेक्ट असिस्टेंट के लिए जिसमें अधिक वेतन है और एक फील्ड वर्कर के लिए जिसमें थोड़ा कम वेतन है। दोनों पदों की अवधि तीन साल की है।

Who Can Apply

प्रोजेक्ट असिस्टेंट बनने के लिए साइंस में स्नातक या इंजीनियरिंग में 3 साल का डिप्लोमा जरूरी है, साथ ही कोडिंग और सिग्नल प्रोसेसिंग का ज्ञान फायदेमंद होगा। फील्ड वर्कर के लिए किसी भी विषय में स्नातक डिग्री जरूरी है और डेटा संग्रह और दस्तावेज़ीकरण में अनुभव अच्छा माना जाएगा।

Pay and Tenure

The positions are purely temporary and coterminous with the project for a duration of 3 years. The consolidated fellowship is Rs. 29,700/- per month including HRA for the Project Assistant and Rs. 24,000/- per month for the Field Worker. Selected candidates shall be encouraged to register for Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Department during the December 2026 session.

2. Fill in the application form with all required details and affix a recent passport-size photograph in the designated space.
3. Prepare a resume highlighting relevant exposure.
4. Scan the filled application form, resume, and true copies of all testimonials.

Selection and Interview

Applications will be screened, and the list of shortlisted candidates along with the date of interview will be notified via email. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The candidate is expected to join immediately if selected.
