Department-wise Vacancies

A total of 3 contract vacancies have been notified across university centres and schools.

* In the absence of applicants from the specified reservation category, applicants belonging to other reserved categories will be considered. In the absence of applicants belonging to other reserved categories, applicants from the Open Competition category (OC) will be considered.

** In the absence of applicants from the specific differently-abled category, applicants from other differently-abled categories will be considered; in their absence, applicants from other reserved categories will be considered; and in the absence of those as well, applicants from the OC category will be considered.

Abbreviations: LC/AI – Latin Catholic / Anglo Indian, PH – Differently Abled, V – Viswakarma, EWS – Economically Weaker Section, OC – Open Competition.

Qualification and Experience

Candidates who obtained Degree/Ph.D. from Universities/Institutions outside the State of Keralam shall submit an equivalency/eligibility certificate obtained from Mahatma Gandhi University. Refer to the official notification for discipline-specific eligibility of each post.

MGU Recruitment 2026 Age Limit

As per the UGC Regulations regarding the appointment of Assistant Professors. Teachers who retired from Colleges/ Universities will also be considered subject to the condition that the maximum age limit shall be 70 years as on 01.01.2026.

Pay and Terms

• In the case of teaching experience in guest/contract/temporary positions, service shall be counted only after acquiring minimum qualifications stipulated by the UGC for the post of assistant professor.
• Late applications and the applications that are not submitted in the prescribed format or without the scanned copies of certificates to prove age, community, creamy layer status, educational qualification, experience, CGPA to percentage conversion, impact factor of the published articles, equivalency/ eligibility will summarily be rejected.
