About NIT Warangal Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

National Institute of Technology Warangal, in Telangana – 506004, describes itself as an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. Who Can Apply

• Essential qualification: M.Sc. in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics from a recognized university/institute.
• NET/GATE: Candidates must have qualified UGC-NET/UGC-JRF/CSIR-NET/CSIR-JRF/ GATE.
• Desired qualification: Prior knowledge in Partial Differential Equations.
• Age limit: 30 years for the GEN/ GEN-EWS category, 33 years for OBC-NCL, and 35 years for SC/ST/PwD/Female candidates, as on the commencement date of the notification (the notice is dated 14 October 2026).

Pay and Tenure

• Emoluments: Rs. 37,000/- pm for the first 2 years and 42,000/- pm for the third year.
• HRA/Accommodation: HRA is paid “as per the govt. rule application for NIT Warangal”. The selected candidate can also use the on-campus Hostel & Mess facilities, subject to availability.
• Duration: Maximum 3 years or till the completion of project tenure (whichever is earlier). The notice calls the position purely temporary.
• Other benefits: The notice encourages the selected candidate to apply for admission to the Ph.D. programme at NIT Warangal, in line with the Institute’s rules, whenever the admission notification is issued.

1. Fill in the application in the prescribed format attached to the notice. It asks for your name, father’s name, date of birth (DD/MM/YYYY), sex, marital status and category (OC/OBC/SC/ST). It also asks for each educational qualification from SSC (Class X) to M.Sc., with specialization, board/university, year of passing, class and percentage/CGPA. You must also give your GATE/NET details (exam name, subject, year qualified, score, All India rank), your research/industrial/teaching experience, your publications and any other relevant information.
2. Sign and date the declaration at the end of the form.
3. Prepare a detailed CV.
4. Combine the CV, the application form and the scanned documents listed below into a single PDF file not exceeding 10 MB.
