Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital and Research Centre Muzaffarpur (HBCHRC Muzaffarpur) has announced recruitment for 1 Project Research Scientist (Non-Medical) post on a contract basis under the project entitled “Identification of Genetic Predictors Responsible for Local Failure in Margin- Negative Oral Squamous Cell Carcinoma Patients in India” funded by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), initially for a period of six months or till the continuation of project, whichever is earlier. The post carries a consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 61,040/- PM. Eligible candidates must possess a Master Degree in Bioinformatics or in any stream of biological Sciences or Life Sciences with minimum 55% marks, with an age limit of 40 years as on date of interview. Essential Qualification and Experience

Desirable experience:

• Candidates having extensive experience in analysis of cancer genomics including analysis on next-generation sequencing (NGS) data from biological and clinical samples for Whole genome/exome sequencing/transcriptomic, targeted sequencing of limited gene panel, and establishment of in-house bioinformatics pipeline for the same.
• Candidate must have a sound knowledge in Linux, scripting, R programming.
• Candidates working in academic institutions with minimum 2 years of proven experience will be preferred.
