Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) has notified 1 vacancy for the Technician Grade II post on a contract basis for an initial period of one year. Candidates applying for the post must possess an ITI Certificate in Electrical/Electronics along with two years of experience in Engineering Colleges or Universities, and meet the age limit of 18 – 40 Years as on 1 January 2026. The notified pay for the post is Rs. 25,980. Interested applicants must submit their ONLINE application on or before 16 November 2026, and send the signed hard copy of the application along with document copies to the Registrar by speed post, registered post, or by hand on or before 23 November 2026.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

तकनीशियन ग्रेड II के पद के लिए आवेदन करने वाले उम्मीदवार के पास इलेक्ट्रिकल या इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स में ITI सर्टिफिकेट होना चाहिए और उन्हें इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेज या विश्वविद्यालय में कम से कम दो साल का अनुभव भी होना चाहिए।

Age Limit and Relaxation

The age limit for the post is 18 – 40 Years as on 01.01.2026. Backward communities and SC/ST candidates are eligible for usual age relaxation as per rules.

Pay and Tenure

The selected candidate will receive a consolidated pay of Rs. 25,980/- per month. The engagement is on a contract basis from July to April with breaks during the vacation months of May and June of the respective year. The initial period of appointment is for one year, which may be extended up to two years. The appointment, conditions of service, emoluments, and other service benefits are governed by the provisions of KSR, KS&SSR, Act/Statutes/Ordinances, and Syndicate Decisions of Cochin University of Science and Technology as amended from time to time.

Application Fee

The application fee must be remitted through online payment using Net banking or Credit/Debit cards of almost all banks. Payment by Cheque or DD will not be accepted.

How to Apply for CUSAT Technician Grade II

1. Interested candidates must apply online through the official CUSAT website recruit.cusat.ac.in on or before 16-11-2026.
2. Take a printout of the submitted application form and sign the hard copy.
3. Enclose copies of required documents to prove age, qualifications, and other credentials.
4. Dispatch the signed hard copy of the application along with enclosures to the “Registrar, Administrative Office, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi-22” on or before 23-11-2026.
5. Ensure the envelope is superscribed with the text “Application for the post of Technician Grade II, Department of Polymer Science & Rubber Technology on contract basis”.

Selection and Shortlisting

The University reserves the right to shortlist the candidates on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying degree. Reservation rules are applicable for the appointment to the above post.
