Who Can Apply

Educational Qualification

• Master’s degree in Psychology – M.A / M.Sc. in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, or Applied Psychology; OR
• Master of Social Work (MSW) with specialisation in Psychiatry / Mental Health.

NIT Calicut Counselling Psychologist Job Description

The engaged Counselling Psychologists will perform the following roles and responsibilities:

• Counselling students.
• Coordinate with online wellness partner.
• Coordinate wellness events on campus and work with Students Guidance Cell volunteers.
• Submit a weekly report to the Dean (Students Welfare) Office on student caseload and well-being.
• Maintain professional boundaries with students and uphold confidentiality in consultations and diagnoses.
• Ensure information gathered during consultations is not disclosed, made public, or utilized in any way except for offering assistance to students.
• Conduct scheduled rotational visits across various departments, hostels, and academic facilities on campus to deliver specialized sessions.
