CSIR NAL Age Limit

The upper age limit is 28 years for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and 32 years for Senior Research Fellow (SRF) as on the last date of receipt of application.

Age Relaxation

CSIR NAL Salary

No additional grants or salary will be paid apart from the fellowship amount. On account of official visits to other places, laboratories, or institutes, candidates will be entitled to reimbursement under the project as per rules of CSIR/CSIR-NAL.

CSIR NAL Selection Process

The selection process involves the screening and shortlisting of applications based on information furnished in the offline application form, followed by an interview for shortlisted candidates through email.

1. Download the application form from the official website www.nal.res.in.
2. Fill out the application form completely in your own handwriting or neatly typed.
3. Affix a recent passport size photograph on the designated space of the application form.
4. Enclose self-attested copies of matriculation (10th) certificate as proof of date of birth, 12th standard certificate, degree and above certificates, experience certificates, and community or caste certificate if applicable.
5. Place the filled application form and all enclosures inside a sealed cover.
6. Superscribe the envelope with “Application for the post of JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW / SENIOR RESEARCH FELLOW. Advt. No.14/2026”.

• The engagement is for a temporary duration of two years, with upgradation to SRF from the third year based on performance.

• Canvassing in any form or bringing in political or other influence will be treated as a disqualification.
• Candidates are advised to work for the project for a minimum duration of one year after appointment.
• If a candidate wishes to leave the job, prior information of a minimum of 1 month is required.
