Important Dates

Supreme Court JCA Exam Pattern 2026

The selection has four stages. Candidates must score at least the minimum qualifying marks in every stage to move ahead.

How candidates move from one stage to the next

1. Objective test: If many candidates score 50 or more, only those ranked up to 10 times the number of vacancies (about 2,500 for 250 posts) go to the next stage.
2. Typing and descriptive tests: Both are held at the second stage, but descriptive answer sheets are checked only for candidates who pass the typing test.
3. Interview: Candidates who clear all three tests are called in a 1:3 ratio against the vacancies (about 750 for 250 posts).

Is There Negative Marking in the Supreme Court JCA Exam?

Yes. Each correct answer carries 1 mark and each wrong answer leads to a deduction of 0.25 marks. Unanswered questions carry no deduction. Supreme Court JCA Typing Test Syllabus and Rules

How typing mistakes are counted

• A wrong word or figure counts as one full mistake.

The descriptive paper is a 2-hour English test for 100 marks, with 50 as the minimum qualifying marks. It has three parts.
