UKSSSC Scaler Recruitment 2026 Overview Updated Post

Physical Standards update: For Scheduled Tribes and certain ethnic groups (Gorkha, Nepali, Assamese, Ladakhi, Sikkimese, Bhutia, Garhwali, Kumaoni, Naga, Arunachal Pradesh, Lahaul & Spiti, Meghalaya), the minimum height relaxes to 152 cm (male) and 145 cm (female).

Additional note on reservation percentages: SC 19%, ST 4%, OBC 14%, EWS 10% (vertical); Uttarakhand Women 30%, Ex-Servicemen 5%, Freedom-Fighter Dependents 2%, Divyang 4%, Orphans 5%, Skilled Sportsperson 4%, State-Movement-Affected 10% (horizontal, within respective categories). Vacancy numbers may be revised as per department roster and applicable rules.

Written Exam Syllabus (Annexure-1) is published separately on the Commission’s website (sssc.uk.gov.in).

Written Exam Merit list tie-break criteria: resolved first by age (older candidate ranked higher), then by English alphabetical order of name.

Written Exam OMR sheet marking rules specify that marking more than one option per question is treated as wrong answer and penalized; use of whitener or scratching/cutting options is prohibited and leads to negative marking; incorrect roll number or booklet series leads to automatic rejection.

Document verification (Abhilekh Sannirikshan) is mandatory after written exam; absence leads to rejection.

Candidates in certain military/paramilitary and government employee categories (and their spouses/children) are excepted from some eligibility criteria.

Application fee non-refundable except in case of technical payment failure.

Photo, signature, thumb impression upload specifications: recent colour passport-size photo (150W×200H px), signature (150W×100H px), thumb impression (150W×100H px) in JPG/JPEG format.

Application fee must be paid online only; no other payment modes accepted.

Additional details on prohibition of calculators, mobile phones, etc. inside exam center and on candidate conduct during selection with reference to Uttarakhand Competitive Examinations Act, 2023.

Admit cards issued only via Commission’s website; no postal delivery.

Applicants must register with Aadhaar number; each Aadhaar usable once only.

Correction window is post-deadline (26–27 October 2026); name, parents’ names, date of birth, and exam center cannot be changed.

Application considered complete only when fee credited and status shows “Completed.”
