आवेदन 22 सितंबर 2026 से शुरू होकर 11 अक्टूबर 2026 की मध्यरात्रि तक ऑनलाइन जमा किए जा सकते हैं। पात्रता की शैक्षिक योग्यता अंतिम तारीख तक पूरी होनी चाहिए, इसके बाद आवेदन स्वीकार नहीं होंगे।

CWSSU में 18 विभागों में कुल 149 शिक्षण पद हैं, जिनमें से अधिकांश असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर के हैं। पदों की संख्या और विभाग के हिसाब से वितरण स्पष्ट है, और विश्वविद्यालय भर्ती प्रक्रिया के दौरान किसी भी बदलाव का अधिकार रखता है।

CWSSU Meghalaya Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Professor

• An eminent scholar with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned subject and actively engaged in research.
• A minimum of 10 research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, and a total Research Score of 120, as per the criteria in Appendix II Table 2 of UGC Regulations, 2018.
• A minimum of 10 years’ teaching experience in a university/college as Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Professor, or equivalent research experience at an equivalent level.
• OR an outstanding professional with a Ph.D. in the concerned subject from any academic institution/industry, who has made a significant contribution to knowledge.

Associate Professor

• A good academic record with a Ph.D. degree in the concerned subject.
• A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade point scale) in the concerned subject.
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in teaching or research in an academic/research post equivalent to that of Assistant Professor in a University, College or Accredited Research institution.
• A minimum of 7 publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals, and a total Research Score of 75, as per the criteria in Appendix II Table 2 of UGC Regulations, 2018.

Assistant Professor

• Academic Qualification: Master’s degree with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade point scale) in the concerned subject, from an Indian University or an accredited foreign University. Relaxation of 5% (from 55% to 50%) is applicable for SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.
• Eligibility Test: The candidate must have cleared NET/CSIR-NET conducted by UGC-CSIR, or SET-NE, in the concerned subject.
• Exemption from NET/SLET/SET: Candidates awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Regulations 2009/2016 (and amendments) are exempted.

Reservation of Vacancies: As per the existing Reservation Policy and Guidelines of the Government of Meghalaya, as amended from time to time.

CWSSU Meghalaya Recruitment 2026 Pay Scale

Pay levels are as per the State University Pay Scales; Dearness Allowance (DA) and other allowances are payable as per Government of Meghalaya rates.

CWSSU में असिस्टेंट प्रोफेसर की बेसिक सैलरी ₹57,700 से शुरू होती है, एसोसिएट प्रोफेसर ₹1,31,400 और प्रोफेसर ₹1,44,200 तक है। इसके अलावा राज्य सरकार के अनुसार DA और अन्य भत्ते मिलेंगे।

CWSSU Meghalaya Recruitment 2026 Selection Process

Selection comprises two stages: (i) Shortlisting of candidates, and (ii) Personal Interview, with final selection made per the provisions below.

Stage 1: Shortlisting

• Academic score is considered for shortlisting candidates for interview only – the final selection is based solely on interview performance.
• Assistant Professor: Shortlisting is based on academic score as per Appendix II Table 3A of UGC Regulations, 2018.
• Associate Professor & Professor: Shortlisting is based on verification of minimum eligibility, API Research Score verification, and evaluation of publications as per Appendix II Table 2 of UGC Regulations, 2018.

Stage 2: Personal Interview

• Candidates are called for Personal Interview in the ratio of 1:3 for Assistant Professor, 1:5 for Associate Professor, and 1:5 for Professor, relative to the number of vacancies, based on shortlisting scores.
• Final selection is based entirely on performance in the Personal Interview.
• Only candidates who have produced all required documents in original relating to their educational qualification, date of birth, caste, community, and other certificates wherever required and prescribed by Rules will be deemed qualified to be called for Personal Interview.

1. Ensure you possess the requisite educational qualification in the concerned subject(s) prescribed for the post, on or before the last date fixed for submission of applications.
2. Visit the online recruitment portal at rpa.meghalaya.gov.in/cwssu (the link is also available on the University website).
3. First create and complete your profile on the portal, furnishing details of your education qualification, work experience, publications, and other relevant information.
4. Apply for the advertised post(s) through the portal, and pay the application fee exclusively through the portal.
5. Submit your application before 11 October 2026, midnight.

आवेदन केवल ऑनलाइन पोर्टल के जरिए स्वीकार किए जाएंगे, जिसमें पहले प्रोफ़ाइल बनानी होगी। आवेदन शुल्क भी ऑनलाइन जमा करना होगा। अंतिम तिथि 11 अक्टूबर 2026 मध्यरात्रि तक है, उसके बाद आवेदन स्वीकार नहीं होंगे।

Documents Required

• Educational qualification certificates (Master’s degree, Ph.D., etc., as applicable) and mark sheets
• NET/CSIR-NET/SET-NE certificate, for Assistant Professor applicants not exempted via Ph.D.
• Proof of Date of Birth
• Caste/Community certificate (Scheduled Tribe/Scheduled Caste, etc.), in the prescribed format issued by the appropriate authority, where applicable
• Proof of teaching/research experience, as applicable to the post
• Documentation supporting the claimed Research Score/API Score and publication record (Professor and Associate Professor applicants), as per Appendix II Table 2 of UGC Regulations, 2018
• No Objection Certificate (NOC) from current employer, for candidates already in service (to be produced at the time of interview)

Important Conditions

• Application Fee: Rs. 1000/- for General candidates; Rs. 500/- for ST/SC/OBC candidates. Payable exclusively through the recruitment portal; once paid, the fee is not refunded under any circumstances. Applicants are advised to submit well before the closing date to avoid last-minute technical difficulties.
• Incomplete applications, and applications not supported by the requisite documents, will be summarily rejected.
• If at any stage a candidate is found to have furnished false, incorrect, or misleading information, or to have suppressed any material fact, their candidature is liable to be cancelled and, if appointed, the appointment is liable to be terminated without notice.
