Key Details: The expanded scheme creates a nationwide sports ecosystem including National Centres of Excellence (NCOEs), Khelo India Centres of Excellence (KICoEs), SAI Training Centres, Khelo India Accredited Academies, Khelo India Centres, and Armed Forces Youth Sports Companies. New initiatives are Khelo India Feeder Schools (KIFS) for early talent spotting and Khelo India Utkrishta Vidyalayas (KIUV) to integrate sports and education at school level. A new category, Emerging Khelo India Athletes (E-KIAs), was introduced to expand athlete development nearly 10 times. The ANSF Scheme was also strengthened for 2026-31.
